While performing your duty, expect neither approval nor disapproval. Do your work with the utmost love.
This love alone will attract grace, and all that you do will become the
worship of God. You will see you own self in this worship.

What's Under My Control?

Part of being human is the desire to control as much of our lives as possible. The truth is there is really very little in life that we can control. The universe has a way of reminding us of this whenever we try to exert control in areas we shouldn't or when we fail to control the areas we should. We have an excellent opportunity in these times to transform the chaos. I am not being a Pollyanna about our times. I am saying that we don't have to sit around feeling like a victim. Below are some thoughts on the areas of life that each of us can control.

  • What you do: Your actions are yours alone and you are responsible for the effects of your actions.  Instead of eating junk food which is addictive and costly go for a walk, clean out a closet, move the furniture. MOVE! Moving changes the energy.
  • What you say: As we speak, so shall it be is an ancient concept. Speak of what you want the outcome to be. The words you speak or write can be consciously chosen to support healing change. Like actions, they have an impact on your life and the lives of those you contact. B.J. Palmer, D.C. said, "We never know how far reaching something we many THINK, say or do today will affect the lives of millions tomorrow. It is better to light one candle than to curse the darkness." Say, "I choose Ease and Grace, Love and Peace and Empowerment."
  • What you THINK: Maybe there are some subconscious thoughts that you can't control. However the things that you really" think about—your beliefs, your ideals—are concepts you have chosen to accept and believe in. Read the Be Happy Attitudes or Tough Times Never Last but Tough People Do by Robert Schuller. (Tee Hee, inflation hasn't hit these books; you can get them for a penny from Amazon!) Read the books that formed your positive beliefs.
  • Your work: Many people like to say "Oh, I'm trapped in my job because I don't have a degree, so close to retirement, the golden handcuffs or experience," That is a way of denying one's responsibility. It is your job you chose it. Maybe an attitude adjustment is called for or some Emotional Release work. Be grateful for that job it is bring in the bread. Check out Victor Frankle's book, Man's Search for Meaning. He wrote it after having a job for four years as a prisoner in a WWII concentration camp.
  • The people you associate with: There is a t-shirt that states, "It's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys." Your associates, family and friends either lift you up or being you down. It is your choice who to hang with. Some people make a friend out of the computer. It is not.
  • Your basic physical health: Much about your health is a factor of genetics, environment, exposure. Much more of our health is simply a matter of the things we choose: diet, exercise, drugs, sleep, laughter, getting adjusted, letting go of the addictions. If you feel physical or mental distress from the THOUGHT of letting go of sugar, coffee, alcohol, computer then it is an addition. Get help, get adjusted or go to a support meeting.
  • The environment you live in: Your home, the condition of your home, the town you live in. It doesn't cost anything to pick up the stuff and trash. Unplug the TV and the computer and go clean the shower or baseboards. Throw a potluck and have a cleaning party. Clean out the garage and the storage area.
  • Money, Money, Money. Having enough is a factor of what you make verses what you spend. Cut up the credit cards. A mocha latte at 5 bucks is not wise spending, but it may be an addiction.
  • Your Time: You choose how to spend your time and how much of your time to give to various activities. You will never get more time than the 24 hours you are given each day. People say they are depressed. No. People are in over whelming grief that the life we have known is changing. People are not depressed by change; they go into loss and grieve. Get moving it is a waste of time you don't have to be in a funk. Plant a victory garden!
  • Your Legacy. ALL of your actions, words, and knowledge that you share while you are living become gifts that you leave when you are gone. My friend Joel was the access person to a world of connections because I counted on him to keep me connected. I lost all of it when he died. I have also lost family recipes and history because I didn't take the time to get it. What are you going to leave behind?

Airbags, Seatbelts and Neck Fractures
Driving without your seatbelt, thinking your airbag will protect you? DON'T DO THAT! A study of 13,000 drivers and front seat passengers published in Spine 2008 found a 54.1% rate of neck fracture verses 42% using both bag and belt. Wearing only the belt was 42.6% fractures.  Lonely airbags had a higher rate of fractures than no restraints at all. Buckle up. By the way if you are overly short or tall have your mechanic adjust the airbag for your height.

Speaking engagements for Dr. Webb

speakingDr. Webb will be speaking to We Succeed, July 9 on Tools of the Trade. This is an emotional release technique exploring your congruency with your business card, career, title and the name of your business. Tools of the Trade was successfully used on candidates taking the California Bar exam. If one is not congruent with what is happening in your life then success is a tough place to get too. This is a powerful tool to use before getting married. There are a large number of topics for you to chose from when Dr. Webb speaks to your group or club. Call 800-710-3450 and leave a message.

Begin Transforming Worries Now
  • Begin transforming worries now! Breathe! Conscious breathing releases stress and anxiety, it builds energy, endurance and relaxation, it prevents and heals physical problems, manages pain, enhances metal concentration and physical performance. Breathing leads to graceful aging. Conscious breath facilitates psychospiritual transformation. Andrew Weil, MD, has a very nice CD called Breathe!
  • Do 15 minutes of Chilel qigong a day. It will do all of the above, too. DVD at www.Chilel.com
  • Nightly, write 20-50 gratitude's. Let go of watching TV news. There is nothing there that you need to know. Leave the newspaper for someone else and computer news is a waste of time. The news is being used to scare the daylight out of us. Shift your focus to what is good, comfortable.  Be objective. Find friends you can talk to about light hearted fun things. Pay the toll for the car behind you. Give the lady, ahead of you digging for a penny, a penny. Plug the parking meter for the person parking. Let go of digging on yourself. Get rid of the high magnification mirror. DO something different.

P.S. You're Wonderful

I am ever so grateful for the delightful people I get to meet because of you. Thank you for your referrals. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to help people transform their lives. What a gift you give.

I will be on vacation June 30-July2 so call now for your summer tune up.
Many blessings for a happy summer.
